First Year I Cried

On a rainy day, every one has their own special ritual, some enjoy getting under the covers and watching a movie and others enjoy taking a nap. My rainy day ritual involves a cup of tea and a book. I realized reading isn’t as popular as it once was, but believe me readers still exist.

Reading is more than just fundamental, it’s essential in life. Joseph Addison once said, “Reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body” (Brainy Quote). So I decided to share with you all, every good book I discover, I know I am not the only avid reader in the world. So every month, join me here at The Everythinger as I recommend to you books, that I believe are worthy to be read, from non-fiction to science fiction. Every book recommended has a purpose, and that purpose is to invoke emotions, provoke conversation and expand your thinking.

The book for the month of August is, First Year I Cried (After Highschool Book 1), written by Rebekah Christie.

They said it would be the best years of my life
And I spent the first one crying
From the pain and misery inflicted on me
By the people who I trusted the most

This is a poetry book that expresses and tells the pain and the experiences of high school. Read this book and allow it to take you on an emotional rollercoaster.
